Our Topic on June 27th: Creating a Quorum of Preparedness — First Steps
We will work on expanding this roundtable by identifying agencies and individuals that need to be recruited in order to effectively reach more areas of our community. We will also explore next steps in planning & educating.
Overview
Throughout our state and country there are inevitable emergencies that happen—fires, earthquakes, tornadoes, floods, tsunamis, and blizzards. Last month we initiated a planning conference to encourage greater preparedness here in Josephine County. Out of that conference sprang the decision to launch a monthly group meeting to deepen our ability to work together in emergencies.
We invite all governmental and community organizations to attend, such as: county emergency services, public health department, hospitals, schools, police, sheriff, fire departments, water agencies, ODT & debris clearing agencies, city councils, Board of Commissioners, Human Services, CERT emergency responder organizations, service clubs, churches, synagogues, Red Cross, SPCA, Humane Society, homeless services, charities, food security experts, community radio stations and ham radio organizations, hardware stores, local food stores, farmers groups and concerned citizens.
