Community members are invited to learn how to download free e-books and audiobooks with their library card at the Library2Go Workshop on Saturday, June 2 from 1:00–2:30 p.m. in the Ben Bones room at the Grants Pass branch of Josephine Community Library District, 200 NW C Street.

The library is offering a free Library2Go Workshop to demonstrate how to download e-books and audiobooks using e-readers, smartphones, and other digital devices. The upcoming workshop will cover basics on how to download electronic materials from the library’s website and other helpful hints.

Community members can also call the library at 541-476-0571 to set up an appointment to receive one-on-one help with specific questions. Registration for the workshops is not required, but seating is limited.

The e-book collection, called Library2Go, is part of the Oregon Digital Library Consortium.

For more information and to reserve a seat in advance, contact the library at 541-476-0571 or [email protected].

In May 2017, citizens placed a measure on the ballot to permanently fund the libraries in Grants Pass, Illinois Valley, Williams, and Wolf Creek. For the previous 10 years, the libraries were supported by generous donations and the heroic contributions of more than 360 volunteers annually. The newly formed Josephine Community Library District (JCLD) is committed to enriching the community through access to quality library services across Josephine County and will continue to rely heavily on volunteers to run all four library branches. Anyone interested in getting involved with the library can send an e-mail to [email protected].
