RCC Illinois Valley Chorus is a class now offered through RCC’s Community Education department. This music group has been ongoing since 2010, averaging 30 singers of all ages, voice types and from all walks of life.
Reading music is a plus — but not necessary to enjoy this choir. We sing some by ear, and learn to read notes as we go along. Some music theory is offered in connection with the songs we sing.
The director, Kate Campbell, is a lifelong Oregonian, a local musician and educator who also directs the 3 Rivers Chorale and Bethany Presbyterian’s Chancel Choir in Grants Pass. She has a Music Performance Degree from San Francisco State University and a Masters of Music degree from Portland State.
