Four Way Community Foundation offers $500 Photo Prize
Eligible local nonprofits may submit mission-related photos and/or a story by October 31.
Grants Pass— The Four Way Community Foundation wants to see your best photos relating to the mission of a local nonprofit that received help Four Way.
Any nonprofit organization serving Josephine and/or western Jackson County that also has a commitment to nondiscrimination is eligible for grants through Four Way and may enter. “It’s not just groups that have received monetary support from us who should participate,” said Executive Director Kate Dwyer, “We also offer direct skills training, referrals to other funders, and money from Donor Advised Funds. Perhaps we made a connection for a group that now has a funded program as a result. That would qualify, too.”
Organizations may submit up to ten photographs for consideration, with a minimum of 300 pixels per inch. These should relate in some way to both the organization’s mission and help they have received from Four Way. The prize may also be awarded to a story of no more than 750 words. Either one story or up to ten photographs may be submitted together or separately. Entry is through a portal on FourWayCommunityFoundation.org/contest. The deadline is Thursday, October 31 at 5 pm. The $500 must be used by the group for a 501c3-allowable purpose.
A committee of the board of the Four Way Community Foundation will determine the winner, which will be announced at the Celebration of Community Spirit Dinner on November 7th at Evergreen Federal Bank’s Bear Hotel. Contestants do not have to be present to win and will be notified at the email address they provide. Contestants must own the rights to their submissions and grant Four Way the right to republish entries and the name of the organization. See th
