Illinois Valley Holiday Event 2022
Cave Junction, Oregon – The public is invited to celebrate the holiday season on Saturday, December 10th with a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. The event will be held at the Illinois Valley Visitor Center 201 Caves Highway, and is produced by the Illinois Valley Chamber of Commerce.
“This is a very special annual event,” says Megan Pugh, Executive Director of the IV Chamber of Commerce. “It’s a time when our community really shows up to support those less fortunate in the valley. It amazes me every year and I consider myself blessed to witness it.” In 2021, there were 120 children who attended the event. Santa and his elves handed out the toy bags, each contained two-three gifts and treat bags.
The Illinois Valley Chamber of Commerce is accepting toy donations for this event. Drop off locations are in Cave Junction at the Illinois Valley Fire Department Station 1, WaFd Bank, and the Illinois Valley Visitor Center. The IV Chamber encourages those willing to donate toys to purchase them with local vendors as it is a boost to our local economy.
“We could not hold this event if it we didn’t have the generous support from Oregon Caves Chevron. They went above and beyond this year to make sure the children in the Illinois Valley get to enjoy the holiday” says Pugh.
