Kerby learning center to reopen for in-person GED classes

Need to brush up on basic skills or work toward earning your GED diploma? Rogue Community College’s Illinois Valley Learning Center in Kerby is opening for in-person study during winter term.

The RCC Adult Basic Skills (ABS) program has offered online classes since spring 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Illinois Valley Learning Center, located in the Kerby Belt Building at 24353 Redwood Highway, is the first of the college’s four ABS learning centers to reopen for in-person classes.

Students who register for the program can prepare for GED exams or brush up academic skills with help from an instructor. Study labs will be available from 9 a.m. to noon on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, Jan. 3 through March 18. The cost is $65 for the term.
