Oregon Community Foundation funds part of Library Technology Replacement Project
Grants Pass, November 30, 2018 — The Oregon Community Foundation (OCF) has awarded Josephine Community Library District a $24,000 grant to support the Library Technology Replacement Project.
Josephine County Library Foundation is partnering with the library district, the Fourway Community Foundation, and OCF to fund this project to replace dozens of outdated patron computers with new and current ones at all four library branches in Grants Pass, Illinois Valley, Williams, and Wolf Creek.
In line with this partnership, the Library Foundation is making this technology project a focus of its end-of-year fundraising drive. To date, the Library Foundation has raised $16,165 towards its end-of-year fundraising drive, earmarking funds for:
- modern library technology offerings
- library card scholarships for children who live outside of the district
- projects that improve library buildings and facilities
The following funders have contributed to the Library Technology Replacement Project through OCF: Collyer Hitchcock Family Fund, Olsrud Family Fund, Toll & Wagner Charitable Fund, and the Oregon Public Library Innovation Fund.
