Magical creatures youth drawing class

Library partners with art museum to offer virtual program for middle and high school students

Grants Pass, July 17, 2020 —Middle and high school age youth are invited to a virtual drawing class hosted by the Grants Pass Museum of Art from 2–4 pm on Saturday, July 25. Participants will learn how to draw magical creature wings, such as dragons and fairies. This program is part of the library’s 2020 virtual Summer Reading Program “Imagine Your Story” and is sponsored by the State Library of Oregon.

Pre-registration is required and attendance is limited. The first 15 youth to register will receive a free art kit including a sketch book, colored pencils, a set of pastels, and an art bag.

To register and receive the Zoom link to participate, call 541-476-0571 or email [email protected].

While library facilities are restricted due to public health concerns, the following alternative services are available from all branches: curbside pick-up on Fridays and Saturdays, free instant online library cards to access ebooks and audiobooks, virtual Summer Reading Program with recommended reading and activities for all ages, JosephineLINK community database, and more.

Library phone lines and email are open for tech support at all four branches in Grants Pass, Illinois Valley, Williams, and Wolf Creek during regular service hours.
