An essential element of the mission-driven work that nonprofits and service organizations do each day is the formation, retention and growth of constituency. Identifying those individuals, corporations, foundations and businesses and other community stakeholders who share our values and have potential to work with us in a variety of ways. To achieve mission impact, nonprofit leaders turn positive engagement and relationships with family members, friends, neighbors, colleagues, funders and others in our area into action, including volunteer support, charitable giving, committee work, board membership and legacy giving.
In this session we will discuss the fundamental principles of constituency development and explore methods that turn intentional engagement into real action!
Learning Objectives:
- Organization-wide shared responsibility for Constituency Building
- Integration and Alignment of Constituency Building into Mission and Vision
- Intentional Outreach and Engagement across Multiple Community Levels
- Focusing Fundraising as Engagement
- Creating and maintaining Strong Donor Relationships.
This workshop is made possible with support from The Ford Family Foundation!
