JOSEPHINE COUNTY

OREGON 99 (Rogue River Highway), Grants Pass 6th and 7th Street Intersection improvements ($2 million)

Knife River Materials will begin daytime work this week (June 15-19) improving several intersections in north Grants Pass. Expect single-lane traffic controlled by flaggers in the areas of 6th and Steiger and 7th and School streets.

Later this summer, expect nighttime work at the busier intersections of 6th and Morgan and 6th and B Streets.

This project improves pedestrian safety and upgrades the intersections to meet Americans with Disabilities Act requirements. The 6th and Morgan intersection will be improved with new signals, crosswalks and added safety features.

U.S. 199 (Redwood Highway), MP 37 (near O’Brien), Culvert replacement ($60,000)

On Wednesday and Thursday, June 17-18, expect daytime single-lane traffic controlled by flaggers for a culvert replacement near O’Brien. Expect short delays of up to 20 minutes.

INTERSTATE 5 (Pacific Highway), MP 71.9, Bridges over Leland Road repairs ($535,000)

Construction is taking place under the I-5 bridges on Leland Road and does not impact I-5 traffic.

On Leland Road, watch for lane closures. Traffic control will be provided by flaggers or a portable traffic signal.
