RCC Celebrates new Health Professions Center with live-streamed grand opening

by | Oct 2, 2020 | Community Strategic Plan, Education and Learning, Schools

Please join us for our Health Professions Center grand opening next week. The event will feature recorded and live video streamed on our website. Just visit our Health Professions Center webpage for more information and to view our live broadcast on October 8 at 5 p.m.
Due to continuing pandemic precautions, we cannot bring the public into the building at this time. But we hope you can use some of the video we will be providing on Oct. 8. After the event the video will be available for download.
The good news is that students are already using the facility for health care labs in all professions including nursing and dental assisting. If you would be interested in doing a story about the new building and meeting some staff and students, we can arrange that later in October. We hope you will inquire.
The Health Professions Center on the RCC Table Rock Campus will provide a pathway for local students to get into high-paying career jobs and fill a great need for health care workers in the Rogue Valley.

Budgeted for $21.25 million, the 35,648-square-foot teaching facility will feature the newest in health care training technology, and it will be the new home to all RCC clinical health care programs including nursing.

This great moment was made possible by the support of the taxpayers of Jackson and Josephine counties, an $8 million matching grant from the State of Oregon, the generosity of many supporters of the college, and the health care community of the Rogue Valley.
