Volunteer Opportunity with Stipend: Join Urban Rural Action’s Project on Homelessness
Medford, Oregon, March 7, 2025 – Urban Rural Action (URA), a national non-profit and non-partisan organization, invites community members to engage in a transformative opportunity to address the critical issues of housing and homelessness. Through their Southern Oregon initiative, URA aims to unite individuals from diverse backgrounds—including political, racial, generational, and geographic differences—to collaboratively tackle challenges in Douglas, Jackson, Josephine, and Klamath counties.
The program will launch in Medford on April 12, 2025, and will extend through November 2025. Throughout this period, participants will convene in-person to foster relationships, engage in meaningful dialogue, analyze pressing issues, and design actionable projects in partnership with local non-profit organizations focused on housing and homelessness. Each participant, referred to as a “Uniter,” will receive a stipend of $500 for their involvement in the program.
Applications are now being accepted for Uniter cohorts in each of the four counties. Interested individuals are encouraged to apply and become part of this essential movement toward positive change in our communities.
