We πŸ’š Our Parks: Illinois Valley Parks Appreciation Day

Come to Illinois River Forks State Park for a day of Illinois Valley Parks Appreciation. Area parks will have activities, giveaways and information to share. Come visit with representatives from Oregon State Parks, Oregon Caves, City of Cave Junction, Friends of the Forks and more!
At 11:00, volunteer for trash pick-up and scotch broom abatement. Trash bags will be provided. You may want to bring work gloves and a shovel for weed abatement.
Ever wondered how long it takes a banana peel to decompose? Talk with a Leave No Trace trainer and see a collection of items in various stages of break down.
Have you seen the new Equestrian Parking area? Learn about the Westside trails and summer river crossing with Backcountry Horsemen-Sourdough Chapter.
Do you want to try Disc Golfing? Friendly folks from Silent Treatment Sound Systems will have a putting course set up with discs to share.
This is a free, family friendly event open to all. Invite your friends!

Other Important Details

Choose either trash pick up or scotch broom weed abatement. Trash bags and plastic gloves will be provided.
