Land Acknowledgement: To the many indigenous tribes of Oregon who we recognize and respect as traditional stewards of this land, we express gratitude and appreciation for the opportunity to grow, learn, work, and strengthen and build community in the Illinois Valley. We respectfully acknowledge and honor all indigenous communities throughout time and into the future and are grateful for their vibrant presence. We extend our respect to the Takelma, Tolowa Dee-ni’, Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde and the Cow Creek Umpqua People and we pay our respect to elders both past and present. Additionally, we acknowledge all other tribes who have traditional connections to these lands, and displaced Indigenous Peoples who reside in the entire state of Oregon. We ask our community members and visitors to our area to consider where you are, how you are benefiting from these lands, and how you can be a steward to these lands.
