No winter maintenance on NFSR 48 – Wild Rivers Ranger District

by | Jan 5, 2023 | Recreation, Safety

Due to significant road failures to NFSR 48 (Grayback-Happy Camp Road) on the Wild River Ranger District outside of Cave Junction, we agree with Josephine County that it is unsafe to plow the snow from the road during the course of winter 2022-23. There will be no road maintenance conducted during the winter on this road. We are currently working on contracts to have these road failures repaired spring of 2023. Until then the sno-park has very limited access. The sno-park will remain open to use, but access is NOT maintained at this time. Please use extreme caution if attempting to access Page Mountain Sno-park.

Please feel free to reach out if you have more questions, thank you.
