Sabre and Cannon Tabletop Games, new gaming store, opening in Cave Junction.
Cave Junction and the Illinois Valley have an exciting new family-friendly venue for playing and purchasing tabletop games at 219 Redwood Highway. Sabre and Cannon will offer an extensive selection of board games, tabletop games and miniatures, with club memberships available, providing gaming space, access to the game library, store discounts, painting stations and more.
“Our goal is to offer a safe, fun and friendly location for tabletop gaming, with an ever-expanding library of games, appropriate for all ages” said owner Jerry (Bear) Barringer. ‘Our retail store will offer classic out-of-print wargames, adventure games, books and magazines”.
In addition, handcrafting classes will be offered in a separate area by Rochelle Gale, owner of Mz. Makers Craftaganza. “If games aren’t your thing, check out our classes, meet new people and learn something new”.
Opening day will be Saturday, October 7th from noon until 8pm, and will feature free introductions to major game systems for all ages, ranging from sci-fi and fantasy to historical battle simulations. Cosplayers are welcome to enliven the day. Also, there will be dice roll-offs for prizes.
Store hours will be Thursdays 12-6, Fridays 12-7, Saturdays 12-8, and First Sundays 12-6.
