Needle Felted Dragons Class @ The Guild

We are excited to once again host local fiber artist Corbin Brashear of Wild & Wooly Feltworks, on Saturday February 24 from 11AM-4PM for a hands-on workshop, Needle Felted Dragons! Celebrate the Chinese Year of the Wood Dragon with us at the Guild Gallery & Art Center. Explore the wonder of the magical felting needle and its power to transform imagination into form, as we create lusciously colored sculptural dragons using a wire armature. These whimsical creatures are perfect for seasonal decorating and a fun craft to try for the winter months.

Participants will leave class with a fundamental knowledge of needle felting techniques and how to create sculptures using armatures. No previous needle felting experience is required as this technique is very forgiving and lends itself well to artistic exploration! Corbin will encourage students to feel safe taking creative risks and being surprised by the outcome. Send your inner art critic on vacation and instead embrace the pure joy of creating! Class fees are on a sliding scale $65-$85, with all materials included. To learn more about this class and register, CLICK HERE.
