The Mother Way: Film Premiere of “The Motherground”

Rural ReciProsperity, in conjunction with the Southern Oregon Guild, presents a Mother’s Day experience uniquely rooted in Southern Oregon’s astonishing beauty. “The Mother Way” on Sunday May 12, offers residents an opportunity to experience the heart warming and hope-filled dance film short “The Motherground”, shot here in Southern Oregon, taste fine wines grown locally in Josephine County, sample delectable chocolates and fine charcuterie from local farms, and connect with community around protecting the great Mother of us all. “The Motherground” is a dance short film shot locally with filmmaker Trina Morago and Choreographer Gina Angelique, the two collaborating artists behind “The Portal Project” and “The Last Feather.” It features dancer Isadora Millay and local, homesteading moms who together create “The Motherline.” The film uses current climate precarity as a genesis for hope and opportunity in community connection and planet protection, calling upon mothers to join forces in defense of our remaining eco systems.
