Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library

by | May 15, 2018 | Uncategorized

The four Rotary clubs in Josephine County have teamed up with Josephine Community Library District and Josephine County Library Foundation to bring the Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to families in our community starting May 1, 2018

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a book gifting program that mails free books to children every month from birth to age five in participating communities. Through this program, every child under the age of five in Josephine County is qualified to receive a book by mail, at no cost to their families, every month until their fifth birthday.

Beginning May 1, parents can register their child for free by stopping by their nearest library branch in Grants Pass, Illinois Valley, Williams, or Wolf Creek and filling out a paper registration form, or by filling out the online registration form at josephinelibrary.org.

The first book every child receives is The Little Engine That Could, Dolly Parton’s favorite book. The message of the book is timeless, encouraging children to never give up, do their best, and stay positive no matter what. A complete list of books from Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library can be found at https://imaginationlibrary.com/usa/book-list/.

This program is free (the only obligation is to notify the library in case of an address change). Sponsors for this program include AllCare Health, Hart Insurance, Josephine County Library Foundation, Oregon Pacific Financial Advisors, Inc., The Four Rotary Clubs in Josephine County, and Welch Investment Group, LLC.

For more information, or to make a donation in support of this program, contact the library at 541-476-0571 ext. 108 or email [email protected].
